The substitution of the conventional door lock for an automatic lock allows to offer the double security that communities and individual users need: Outside, PROTECTION against intruders, inside SECURITY in the building.

Closing the main door using a key is a common but dangerous practice: in a fire situation the users may get trapped. In fact this practice is forbidden in neighbourhood associations. When the door is closed, the bolt is passed automatically with no need for keys. The automatic lock is designed to offer a high protection against intruders thanks to its solid bolt.

Features:

• The automatic lock consists of 2 parts, a mechanical part and an electrical part. The first one is installed in the door leaf and the second one is located in the frame.
• The design of the automatic lock allows the electric current to go directly to the frame, as in conventional door locks.
• If a power cut occurs, the door may be opened from the inside using the handle or from the outside using the key. Nevertheless, when using an emergency power supply (ref.8791), the users may open the door up to 400 times before the electric current is restored.
• There are four models of automatic locks, depending on the distance between the center of the cylinder and the front part.

Installation details

The following table indicates the key distances to install a door lock in your door:

• A: Distance in mm between the centre of the cylinder and the front part.
• B: Distance in mm between the front and the opposite side of the mechanism.

The distance between both elements of the door lock, H, must be between 1 and 3mm.
