Overview:

Low voltage alarms are ideal to be powered by low voltage outputs from either intruder panels or fire panels. The built in volt free relay contacts can be used to either trigger a device such as a warden call system, or activate an intruder/fire panel.

The 180 series has 9V battery backup, so they will continue to operate in a power cut, also the volt free relay contacts will still operate.

Product Description:

The Ei184 is a Heat Alarm that runs on 12V to 24V variable DC power, and has a 9V Alkaline battery back-up capable of lasting up to 4 years in standby mode and capable of powering the alarm for up to 2 years without mains power.

The alarm gives a fire warning when adequate heat enters the alarm. The alarm is supplied with an Easi-fit base that allows very quick and simple installation of the smoke alarm head. The Easi-fit base automatically connects both the mains power and battery as the alarm slides on. The alarm has a pair of Volt free relay contacts (i.e. can be used to switch into a burglar panel).

The alarm has other advanced features such as built in circuitry to aid suppression of voltage transients and RF interference to further reduce the chances of false alarms under such conditions.
